Question: I鈥檝e recently heard the term 鈥減romoting interoperability鈥� regarding the QPP program 鈥� could you explain what that is? Codify Subscriber Answer: CMS revised all of its Quality Payment Program (QPP) materials on May 11 to reflect the renamed Merit-Based Incentive Payment Program (MIPS) technical component, Promoting Interoperability, or PI for short. Much of the language and guidance remains the same but is now tweaked with new PI wordplay.
