Interested in seeing where your state's spending is trending? You can check out recently released data resource from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Office of the Actuary. The OACT breaks down health spending by state in new resources at . For example: The state with the highest per enrollee Medicare spending in 2014 was New Jersey at $12,614 - roughly 15 percent above the national average of $10,986. In contrast, Montana had the lowest per enrollee Medicare spending at $8,238 - 25 percent below the national average.
