Medicare Trust Fund Projected To Remain Solvent Until 2024, Trustees Say

Medicare's Hospital Insurance (HI) Trust Fund is projected to remain solvent until 2024, according to the latest Medicare Trustees report. That adds eight years to pre-Affordable Care Act estimates, CMS says in a release. But that won't keep law- and policymakers from looking for more Medicare program cuts, experts warn. "Challenges remain for securing the long term financial health of the Medicare program," CMS says. The report is at .
