An Affordable Care Act demonstration encouraging care at home is doing well. The Independence at Home Demonstration showed both higher quality care and lower Medicare expenditures, CMS says in a release.
The demo, which provides primary care services in the home, “saved over $25 million in the demonstration’s first performance year — an average of $3,070 per participating beneficiary — while delivering high quality patient care in the home,” CMS crows. Learn more about the demo at .
