Some examples: Agape Care in Lancaster, Pa. helped pack 91 dozen homemade cookies to send to troops this Christmas season, reports the Intelligencer Journal. Twenty-three caregivers have baked and packaged their homemade cookies and made cards for the troops for the past three years. Wagin Home and Community Care provided seniors with a Christmas lunch and concert, reports The Wagin (Wash.) Argus. Home Instead Senior Care franchises across the nation run a "Be a Santa to a Senior" gift program, multiple newspapers report. And Comfort Keepers franchises operate a nationwide nutrition awareness campaign, "Stop Senior Hunger," during this holiday season, notes the Garnet Valley Press in Pennsylvania. Franchises also are holding food drives.
